Aluminium alloy 1050 or AA 1050 is the aluminium based alloy into the C.P. wrought family (series 1000-1xxx). This alloy is the wrought alloy that is not used in the casting. Instead, this material is formed usually by the process named rolling and extrusion. It is used commonly in the chemical and electrical industries. This alloy is having very good high electrical conductivity, general corrosion resistance, and good working ability. This alloy is used often for the production of the heat sinks. It is having very good thermal conductivity as compared to the other alloys. It is having okay mechanical strength in comparison to the other alloying elements. By the processes named cold working, it can be easily strengthened but not with the help of the heat treatment.
